Unique Lighting for your Kitchen

In today’s kitchen, lighting is no longer the forgotten element of design.  Pendants, chandeliers, and ceiling-mounted lights are often used to provide ambient light.  These chandeliers look great in a group, but just as good singled out alone over the dining table.

Depending on where you live, you might find yourself with a relatively small space available for your kitchen. If this is the case it is more important than ever that you plan each and every nook and cranny so you get the most bang for your space and your buck.

Decorating Your Farmhouse Kitchen

Collectible Vintage Tins & Rooster Decor

I am always on the hunt for Vintage Finds for my farmhouse kitchen. Here at the Pink Pig we love collecting Vintage Tins and I have found a few that I thought would be wonderful for your farmhouse.

Tin Watering Can

We love an old Tin Watering Can, as with Spring around the corner these antique watering cans are a perfect way to display those pretty flowers from your garden.
Red Tin Spice Set
We love this vintage red Tin Spice Set as a way of adding a punch of color to your kitchen.

Tin Spice Box
Or this unique Tin Spice Box from the 1950's which features canister tins and it's own grater . Take this on your next Camping Trip up to the Adirondack Mountains this summer!

Advertising Tins
More Advertising Tins
Advertising tins have been around for hundreds of years, made to hold items like coffee, candy, tobacco and other items. Advertising tins, because of their original use, often have scratches, dents and even some rust, but those imperfections only add to the charm of these most collectible pieces.
Lefton Rooster Salt & Pepper
Let's not forget to add some Rooster Decor to your kitchen as well. We found this charming Lefton Rooster Salt & Pepper set which we love!
Primitive Shelf
Wouldn't they look darling perched on these fantastic primitive shelves? Perfect to display your collections!

Visit us again soon as we are always on the hunt unique vintage finds to display in your Farmhouse Kitchen.

Rooster Decor

A collection to wake up your Country Home!

Banner

Rooster Decor is always a perfect way to add some Country Style to your home. At the Pink Pig you will always find a unique collection of Rooster decor. Some items are collectible like this pair of Lefton Roosters.

Lefton Roosters

The Lefton Company was founded by George Lefton, a Hungarian immigrant, who arrived in Chicago in 1939 with a passion for collecting fine porcelain china. Lefton traveled to Japan in 1945 to seal an importing agreement and the first Lefton China product marked "Occupied Japan" reached the US in 1946. Lefton has produced numerous products that are highly sought after by collectors today.

Black Velvet Rooster

This handsome fellow is a favorite of mine as it is one-of-a kind made by the artist Luella Doss. He is a charming tabletop rooster made using a rich velvet quilt fabric and is signed by the artist.

I am also a big fan of Country Art and found this colorful Rooster on Canvas at an auction last year. He is framed in an antique oak frame and I could see this rooster hung in a country dining room to add a punch of color to those white walls.

Rooster decor for the kitchen - "Oh Yes"....I love these old 1940's juice glasses or this whimsical Rooster doorstop in a fun fabric filled with sand.

Whimsical Doorstop

Find your rooster style....it might be Country French

Needlepoint Rooster

...like this beautiful needlepoint pillow or Country Primitive

Primitive Rooster

...like this primitive wooden rooster from my own personal collection.
